Team Training report
Engineering People Recruitment Team is currently studying the David Maister The trusted advisor book.
During training this week we have discovered some of the traits and characteristics of a trusted advisor.
The assignments this week have focused on how this applies to our best practice and personal best practice.
Discussing how the following characteristics fit with us has been important.
Care more about your clients than you do the outcome of the current transaction.

- focus on the client as an individual.
- Believe in continued focus on problem resolution and not technical issues.
- Show strong competitive drive aimed at constantly to find new ways to provide service to the client.
- Consistently focused on doing the Next right thing.
- Motivated to do the right thing – rather than what the organization rewards or dynamics, wants.
- View methodologies techniques, to a means to an ends. Test is effectiveness to the client.
- Quality relationships more important seek out, quality experiences. Personal risks with clients.
- Selling and serving are aspects of professionalism, both quality proving
Business life and personal life are private.
This is a short list. However the thoughts that it has provoked is the important component.
